Skills Training
The civil war in Nepal has created an increased population of widows, and the Nepali culture views widows as a burden to society. As such, there are no jobs for women, especially the poorly educated ones. We seek to introduce these impoverished women and their children to literacy and training for income generation projects.  These projects provide training to single or widowed women in the following skills: quilting, knitting, crotcheting, beading, gourd art, farming and husbandry.
A monthly donation enables a widow or single mother and her family to start her own business.
